Working titele: Finding Home

I just cancelled my subscription to news.individual.net. I might have earlier, had I remembered I had it, but either way, it's done now. I was thinking about afp the other day, and realised I don't miss it at all. I don't think I've posted since may. What limited things I might want in the future, I can do via Google Groups (such as follow up on the tale).

Most of why I was on afp was the people, and most of you are here. The things I lose (meeting new random people, random sprawling conversations, the larger interaction) lost their power to make up for all the frustration long ago.

I have been thinking of upgrading my LJ though - so I have a question for people with plus or paid accounts: does either of those options allow you to get notified when someone replies to a comment you posted in someone else's journal? That, and more userpics, is what I most miss.

I have removed some posters from my friends-list. This is not because I dislike you, but most likely because you are a fairly high-volume poster, and my friends page was getting really crowded and really long.

I've put you guys in my bookmarks folder instead. Hope no-one takes offence, that was certainly not my intention.

Hm, apparently I can't change the time and date on an entry and have it show up under that time/date on other people's friends pages. Bummer.

Does anyone know if there is a way to save drafts?

If you know me at all, you probably know me as Elin or Graycat - but, the universe being unfair, those names were allready taken. Shriker Tam is a grumpy goth adolescent male, who likes scarification, mohawks, monster boots, Firefly and Dan Simmons. We have nothing in common, except the last two :o) 

Shriker has graciously allowed me the use of his name and space so that I can keep up with this New Hot Thing, and also so I don't have to post as anonymous when commenting in my friends' journals.
