Maybe one of you guys knows more about this stuff than I do, and could help me out.
Is there a way on Last FM, using the little device-y thingy (not the main site), to sort of group your content so it doesn't mix stuf so wildly? I'm not explaining very well... I have in my music library apparently gathered about 4500 songs [1], ranging from Simon & Garfunkel to Händel to Korn, with all sorts of stuff in between. It's a hodgepodge of genres, sounds and moods, and occasionally the random nature of the Last FM skrobbler causes significant style whiplash, cause all this stuff just doesn't go together. For example, it just went from John Coltrane to Dillinger Escape Plan, and then to Natalie Imbruglia... Doesn't help that I have christmas music on there too, which really doesn't mesh with anything at this point, seeing as how it's march.
I like the random thing, it brings up new stuff I've never heard of, and saves me having to think out exactly what I want, but it would be nice if you could make it stay within certain parameters.
[1] It's a little odd how anything you've listened to ever gets stuck in your library. So if I listen to "Anna Ternheim radio", it basicaly sticks every scandinavian singer/songwriter ever in my library... So there's stuff in there I've never heard of, mixed with stuff I love, and stuff I'd prefer never to hear again...
